With 22 years in the Dallas, TX marketplace, four years as the US Liaison Partner in Mexico City, and time in the Salt Lake City, UT and Orange County, CA offices, Jeff has extensive experience across industries and geographies and consistently received high marks from his clients for his service commitment, his ability to mobilize on their behalf, and the objective advice he provides in times of change.
In recent years, Jeff has also been an important contributor to Deloitte's Audit Committee and Audit Committee Chair Transition Lab program, providing unique experiences to audit committees and audit committee chairs exploring their responsibilities, priorities, and practices, with an emphasis on enhancing effectiveness, especially during times of transition. The one-day customized sessions focus on enhancing the performance of audit committees, both as individuals and as high functioning teams, leveraging the Deloitte Governance Framework. Jeff delivered this program to over a dozen entities, including Camden Property Trust, Columbia Banking System Inc., Customers Bank, First Hawaiian, Inc., Kimball Electronics and Valmont Industries.
Jeff has also been a significant contributor to Deloitte's Chief Financial Officer Transition Lab program, facilitating full day labs to over twenty newly transitioned Chief Financial Officers. In these labs Jeff advised new CFOs in developing priorities, communication strategies and managing the three most important resources of a CFO: personal and organizational time management, talent in the finance organization and critical stakeholder relationships. The takeaway for each CFO was a 180-day action plan with key milestones to deliver success in the new role. Among others, Jeff delivered these labs to CFOs at Westrock Coffee, Altafiber, Marine Products and RPC, Inc., Orbia Advance, Omni Logistics, Inc., Light & Wonder, Inc., Alexander and Baldwin, Resideo, Inc., and APi Group.
Jeff has had various leadership roles in the practice, including Chairman of the United Way campaign, leader of campus recruiting, and the people partner role, where he was responsible for driving strategy in all areas that concern the people of Deloitte, including development, counseling, mentoring, yearend feedback and compensation.
Jeff has experience on not-for-profit Boards including Guadalupe Schools and Reading Radio Resource, as a member of the BYU Accounting School Advisory Board and the Marriott School National Advisory Council and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, licensed as a CPA in both California and Texas.
In his spare time, Jeff enjoys times with his family and traveling to new parts of the world (with a goal to see 80 countries before 80), and is an avid skier, mountain biker, wakesurfer and pickleball player.
